New Vishwanth Temple  

Built in 1966, this white marble temple on the Banaras Hindu university campus is said to be a replica of the Vishwanath temple that was destroyed by Aurangzeb it houses a black stone linga, and has verses from, Hindu scriptures inscribed on its walls. It is one  of the few temples in varansi where people of all nationalities castes and creeds are welcomed. 

                       Bharat Mata Temple  

This unusual temple dedicated to Mother India was built in 1936 during India's struggle for freedom. Located 1.5 kms from the railway station in the cantonment area, the temple has a relief map of India engraved in marble. 

                  Bindumadhav Temple  

The temple that was once the most magnificent in Varanasi was the Bindumadhav  temple on panchganga Ghat The  17th century Italian traveller, Tavernier,noted that it was the 'greatest pagoda on the river front. it was razed to the ground by Aurangzeb, who replaced it with the mammoth  Alamgir Mosque, making sure the minarets soar above all the temple spires of the city. 

                        Kabir Temple  

 Located in the Kabirchaura area, tins memorial to the poet Kabir is built on the site of his frugal home. It enshrines  his portrait and some personal belongings.
 Close by is Bijak Temple that houses no idol or religious object, because kabir believed that God is formless. Next to this is Nirutila, the memorial to his foster parents. The complex also houses meditation chambers and the environs reverberate with devotional hymns and recitations of Kabir's poems.
